The Alzheimer's Association provides care and support to families living with a dementia diagnosis as well as supporting the advancement of research to find a cure. The Alzheimer's Association website has great resources on Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Also available are articles and resources for caregivers.
Help is also available 24/7 through their helpline, which is staffed by trained experts in dementia and is available by calling (800) 272-3900
CICOA is the Area Agency on Aging that serves Marion and the surrounding counties. Every county in Indiana is served by an Area Agency on Aging. CICOA serves to connect older adults, their caregivers, and people with disabilities to information and services they need to maintain independence.
CICOA offers information and referral services for caregivers needing to locate resources and options for a loved one living with dementia.
Other services include transportation services, care management, senior meals and nutrition services, and is a contact point for the Indiana Medicaid Waiver.
Alzheimers.gov is the federal government portal to information and resources on Alzheimer's Disease as well as many other types of dementia. The site is managed by the National Institute on Aging.
